Introduction

Hello visitors.

I am Hoop Geek.  I have created a basketball rating system that I call TEN+.  TEN+ is a hat-tip to the pioneers of advanced basketball statistical analysis such as Martin Manley (Tendex.)  The "+" signifies that is based on a 100 system similar to ERA+ or OPS+ in baseball sabermetrics.



Additionally, I have developed a few other tools that I use to delve deeper into the numbers.  A couple of those are Advanced Statistical Scouting (A.S.S.) and Fair Salary (Fair$.)

In later posts, I will give an overview of each component.  I will attempt to provide John Hollinger's PER for comparison's sake, too, when using TEN+ to describe a player's performance.
